General Meeting 1!

Like what you saw at AASA? The first general meeting for the Filipino Student Association is coming up on Thursday, September 4, 2008! It’s going to be in either Rinker 110. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the party starts at 6:30 PM, giving you a sneak preview on what’s going down this year. Hundreds of people have attended this first meeting in past years, so don’t disappoint! And after the meeting, we’ll all be headed to Gator’s Dockside for our first social.

So don’t miss out… COHFS! (Come out, have fun, support for those not-in-the-know…)

Good morning, FSA! I know it’s been a pretty quiet summer for the website, but it’s all good… because AASA is right around the corner! Here’s more information for all of you people who want to go (and you know that you want to)…

The Asian American Student Union proudly presents the fifteenth annual Asian American Student Assembly, a showcase of the sub-organizations of AASU and the Multicultural Greek societies Pi Delta Psi and Kappa Phi Lambda. This collaborative event is held each year to welcome back current members of AASU, recruit new members and give students outside of AASU a glimpse of our community.

Go-Fest 2008!

Just wanted to remind everybody that Go-Fest 2008 is coming up at the end of this week… and you should come! Here’s what Sam Tatel (our Vice President, for those who don’t know him or forgot) has to say about it:

Go-Fest is the biggest and hottest summer party in the Southeastern United States, hosted by the Filipino Student Association (FSA). Originating in the summer of 1996 to unite all FSA’s across Florida, it has grown to be THE event/party people look forward to for the summer. People from all over the state and some from out of state meet in Gainesville to kick Summer B off! Alumni, please hit the contact to ensure you are taken care of correctly.

The party this year, Go-Fest 2008: “Fantasize”, will take place at Club Isis nightclub on Saturday July 12th! This is currently the premiere hot spot in Downtown Gainvesville, and we have secured it as the venue for Go-Fest! Go-Fest this year promises to be the hottest party yet.

However, for the countless that came last year who remember the crazy lines, please make sure to get here early. Capacity may be reached again, so getting there early, like 11:00 is highly recommended.
